Parent Information

Whether your child is a first year or a returning student, we encourage you to read our newsletters as they contain all of the information you need to make your dance season a successful one! We send them out several times a year to insure everyone is informed. Please read them all the way through, as there is very important information inside.

We love our studio, and so do our dancers, and we know that and parent involvement is part of what makes that possible.

Important Notes:

When bringing your child to their class, please escort them directly into the building and pick them up the same way.  We want to make sure all of our dancers are as safe as can be.

  • Please remove outdoor footwear at the front entrance, as dancers traveling between studios must have clean floors to keep their dance shoes in good condition.

  • If black marks appear on tights and shoes, these marks are from the nickel in tap shoes and should wash out easily.
  • If your child requires dance footwear or clothing, please see your calendar/handbook for what is required. The studio dancewear store provides the attire required for class.

  • Please ensure your child has used the washroom and has had their drink/snacks before lessons: multiple breaks are disruptive to the entire class.

  • There are 'Viewing weeks' throughout the dance season for you to watch your child dance from inside the classroom. We encourage you to leave them in the care of their instructor starting the first week. However, if you feel your child needs help integrating into the class in the first few classes, our studio has an open door policy. As soon as you feel that your child is ready, please observe only on the set watch days outlined in the student handbook.
